On the way to Kuhmoinen, stop at the Taidepappila Art Centre, one of Finland’s oldest summer exhibitions and the home of ceramic artist Teemu Luoto. Continuing the journey towards Päijälä village, you can find Riihigalleria located by small rapids. The changing art exhibitions each summer and the works of Niilo Suojoki make Riihigalleria a hidden gem in the middle of the forest.Heading to the centre of Kuhmoinen, take a pause at the Summer Café Tassi and enjoy savoury or sweet treats in the shade of an apple tree.
The next stop in the adventure is the village of Luopioinen in Pälkäne. The Culture Centre Mikkola’s granaries converted into a gallery, the main building Pytinki, barn, and neighboring museums breathe life into history as well as offer modern cultural experiences. Continuing to the centre of Pälkäne, the next stop is Nuijantalo. The summer exhibition and products made from seasonal domestic ingredients add their own touch to the summer trip. You can explore the impressive ruin of historic Church of St. Michael in the same cultural landscape. The nearby Wine Café Pajuparvi offers the final experience amidst the grapevines before heading home.
